Two Early Versions

by Tired of Triangles

supported by

Here we go! Up from the vaults, Two Early Versions brings into focus a pair of tracks from the earliest documented days of Tired of Triangles. Recorded in March of 2015, and newly mixed in 2024, these versions of "No Alibi" and "On Being Well" may well rival the ones that ended up on the first album. They offer up different temperaments: the former is more heavy and brooding, while the latter is comparatively dreamlike, ebullient. Two Early Versions is a one-two punch of rarities that few have heard before, now primed for the listener's enjoyment.

released February 5, 2024

The basic tracks for “No Alibi (Early Version)” were recorded at home sometime in March of 2015 with a Zoom H4n. They were mixed by Dave with reverb added to the vocals in late January of 2024.

“On Being Well (Early Version)” was recorded by Michael W. Cohen on March 30, 2015 at Signature Sound Recording Studio (original location) in southwest Florida. It's presented here as is, with no overdubs, fade-out, or punching in.

Mastered by Chris Goosman at Baseline Audio Labs in early February of 2024.

Tired of Triangles

Tired of Triangles is a largely guitar-oriented musical concern based in Florida. When it began, circa 2015, there seemed to be an overabundance of triangles present in graphic design and the culture at large--hence the name.
